Urban centres across Kerala face challenges related to ageing water supply infrastructure, high losses and increasing demand. This multi city project was undertaken to improve water supply systems through rehabilitation, augmentation and operational strengthening with the objective of delivering more reliable and equitable services. It assessed existing sources, treatment facilities and distribution networks across participating cities, identified system deficiencies and planned targeted interventions to improve treatment efficiency, transmission reliability and distribution performance with measures to reduce losses and improve pressure management.
