Rooppur is Bangladesh’s first nuclear power station, featuring two VVER-1200 reactors with a combined capacity of 2,400 MW. Developed with international cooperation, the project is a milestone in South Asia’s energy diversification and will significantly reduce reliance on fossil fuels.
