This project involved a comprehensive electrical system assessment to enhance reliability, operational stability and future readiness of plant power infrastructure. The assignment included a feasibility study covering multiple solution options supported by techno commercial analysis for key equipment such as the LS limiter and other major components.

Core engineering studies included load flow analysis, short circuit analysis, motor starting studies, transformer loading and ageing assessment, and evaluation of voltage dip behaviour during grid faults. Additional assessments covered multiple OLTC operations and feasibility of motor bus transfer schemes. Enquiry documents and budgetary proposals from vendors were also prepared to support management decision making.

TCE's Scope

TCE carried out feasibility evaluation, techno commercial comparative analysis for key equipment, and detailed engineering studies covering load flow, short circuit, motor starting, transformer loading and ageing, voltage dip behaviour, OLTC operations and motor bus transfer feasibility. The scope included preparation of enquiry documents, vendor comparison and delivery of a techno commercial comparative analysis report.

Impact

The work supported improved planning and decision making by combining technical analysis with comparative evaluation of solution options. The outcomes strengthened reliability, fault performance, transformer health assessment and future upgrade readiness of the plant electrical infrastructure.
