A large-scale battery manufacturing facility is being developed in Jeffersonville, Ohio, to support electric vehicle production for the North American market. The facility includes a main production building covering approximately 2 million square feet (18.6 hectares) and is designed to achieve an annual production capacity of 40 GWh. This advanced plant will play a critical role in meeting the growing demand for sustainable mobility solutions.

TCE's Scope

As a subcontractor, TCE was responsible for delivering detailed design and construction drawings for all machine utility connections, including dry air, nitrogen, water, and power. The scope also involved providing point load data for utility piping and cable trays suspended from the building’s roof support structure. The project required extensive coordination and precision engineering, with 3,200 piping utility drops (resulting in approximately 3,800 isometric drawings) and 4,500 electrical utility drops. To ensure timely execution, TCE deployed a team on-site during design development to support “just-in-time” engineering for construction. The team successfully delivered over 55,000 engineering hours within seven months, demonstrating strong technical capability and responsiveness.
