This large-scale green ammonia and green hydrogen development proposes production capacities of 2500 metric tonnes per day of green ammonia and 450 metric tonnes per day of green hydrogen. The project supports the growth of renewable fuel production in northern Australia by integrating substantial solar photovoltaic capacity with battery energy storage and strengthened transmission systems. It forms part of a wider effort to create export ready green fuels supported by clean power.

TCE's Story

TCE delivered the full front-end engineering design for the electrical system infrastructure, the power supply network and the distribution requirements for the entire development. The scope included the finalisation of the solar photovoltaic capacity along with the battery energy storage requirement.

TCE also designed multiple substations and the transmission line system required to feed power to the green ammonia and green hydrogen production plant. The work ensured that the energy infrastructure is capable of supporting continuous large-scale operation.

Impact

TCE’s engineering support helped establish a strong technical foundation for one of Australia’s large scale green fuel proposals. The integrated energy infrastructure planning enables reliable renewable power delivery to the process plant, while the transmission and substation design supports long term operational stability. The work contributes to accelerating clean fuel production in the region.
