The Grassroots Logistics Terminal in Geismar, Louisiana was developed to support the growing demands of regional chemical and industrial supply chains. Conceived as a modern logistics hub, the facility integrates tank storage with rail and truck operations to enable efficient, reliable movement of materials. Designed with future expansion in mind, the terminal strengthens supply chain resilience while meeting stringent safety and operational requirements.

TCE Story

TCE USA served as the EPCM partner for the project, playing a strategic role in shaping the facility from early-stage validation through execution. Our engagement began with validation of the FEED package and extended through detailed engineering, procurement, and construction management. TCE led the design of the tank farm storage facility, rail and truck loading and unloading systems, and associated control room, workshop, and office infrastructure. Utilities, automation, and safety systems were engineered and integrated to ensure seamless operations and compliance with industry standards. Throughout the project, TCE focused on delivering a coordinated, constructible, and operations‑ready facility.

Impact

The project resulted in a fully integrated logistics terminal that enhances operational flexibility and reliability for chemical distribution networks. By consolidating multiple modes of transport within a single facility, the terminal improves efficiency while providing capacity for future growth. The development delivers a safe, modern infrastructure asset that supports long‑term industrial operations and strengthens the regional logistics ecosystem.
