This project is an ongoing development of a modern aluminium recycling facility designed to support the rising need for sustainable metal production. The facility is being built to recycle both post consumer and pre consumer aluminium scrap and convert it into high quality billet and Tbar products. Post consumer scrap includes items such as used window frames, doors and other household or industrial aluminium products. Pre consumer scrap includes material generated from extrusion plants. Recycling aluminium uses only a small part of the energy needed for primary metal production. As a result, it lowers greenhouse gas emissions and helps the region move towards a circular economy. Most of the aluminium scrap will be sourced within the region. Once complete, the facility will be able to produce up to one hundred and eighty four thousand tonnes per year of aluminium alloy billet and Tbar.

The project includes advanced equipment such as a multi chamber melting furnace, tilting holding and casting furnaces, batch homogenising furnaces, a batch cooler and a swing pit casting centre. The casting centre will produce long billet in various diameters as well as Tbar. A combined cutting and finishing system will provide the required product shape and length. All these systems are being integrated to create a complete and efficient recycling and casting facility.

TCE's Scope

TCE is providing a full range of services to support the ongoing project. This begins with detailed engineering of all systems and equipment. TCE is supporting procurement by helping select suitable vendors, reviewing technical offers and ensuring compliance with specifications. Project management is being carried out throughout the duration of the project along with document control to maintain proper records and traceability.

TCE is overseeing project governance through regular project reviews and progress monitoring. Environment, health and safety management is being implemented to ensure safe working conditions and compliance with all standards. TCE is also delivering quality management services to ensure that construction, installation and inspection activities meet required quality standards. Risk management services are in place to identify and address potential issues before they affect progress.

During construction, TCE is managing on site activities, coordinating with contractors and resolving technical queries. Support continues into pre commissioning and commissioning to ensure that each system is tested and brought into operation safely and smoothly. At the end of the project, TCE will prepare all close out documentation and hand over the facility to the operator.
