This renewable energy development combines a 60 MW solar photovoltaic plant with a 32 MW and 32 MWh battery storage facility to support clean power generation in Guam. The project strengthens energy reliability for the region by integrating solar capacity with storage that helps regulate supply and maintain system stability.

TCE's Scope

TCE delivered the basic and detailed engineering for the 60 MW photovoltaic plant and the battery storage system. The work included preparation of the Battery State of Charge Profiles for lifecycle estimation studies and for evaluating ramp rate control functions. TCE’s engineering scope ensured that both the solar plant and the storage system were designed for efficient and reliable long-term performance.

Impact

The engineering work helped optimise solar generation while enabling stable power delivery supported by the storage system. The lifecycle and ramp rate assessments prepared by TCE supported operational planning, ensuring that the combined system provides dependable renewable energy for Guam.
