This 5 GW renewable energy development forms part of a major clean energy expansion plan in the Al Dhafra region. The project aims to harness large scale solar and associated renewable potential to meet long term national energy requirements. It supports strategic goals to build a significant renewable base that reduces reliance on conventional sources and strengthens energy sustainability.
TCE's Scope
TCE undertook the complete technology selection for the proposed development. The engineering team delivered the full basic engineering package and the complete Bill of Quantities. The scope also included the preparation of the PQ curve study to support energy performance assessment and technical planning.
Impact
TCE’s work provided a strong technical foundation for launching a multi gigawatt renewable programme. The technology selection and PQ assessments helped identify the most efficient technical configuration, improving the viability and performance expectation of the 5 GW development.
