This 225 MW solar photovoltaic plant supports clean energy generation in Sandur, Karnataka. The development includes a 400 kV substation and an approximately 8 kilometre transmission line required to evacuate power efficiently. The project strengthens the renewable energy base in the region and supports long term grid reliability.

TCE's Scope

TCE served as the owner’s engineer for the solar plant and the 400 kV substation. The scope included the full review of engineering, procurement and construction contractor documents for the transmission line.

TCE reviewed geotechnical, topographical and hydrology survey reports that were prepared by third party agencies. The team also witnessed the factory acceptance tests and conducted site inspections as part of quality assurance activities.

Impact

TCE’s involvement ensured that the solar plant and substation were designed and implemented to meet high engineering and safety standards. The document reviews, surveys and inspections strengthened technical accuracy and readiness, supporting reliable construction and long term plant performance.
