This project involved structural consultancy and detailed engineering services for a 220/132 kV gas insulated substation, including engineering activities to meet defined project requirements. The scope covered preparation of design criteria and execution plan, design drawings and layouts, tender specifications and technical bid evaluation. Detailed engineering included design for the GIS building, switchgear building, transformer foundations, pump house and associated structures, along with vendor design and drawing review and coordination with other disciplines for inputs and document review.

The assignment included participation in virtual meetings as required, factory acceptance testing support and construction supervision. Following completion of project construction activities, an additional RCC floor extension at terrace level was proposed. Considering the limited loading capacity defined in the original design and the requirement for faster construction, a pre engineered building structure was recommended as an alternative and design details were provided for the same. The deliverables were completed within planned timelines with compliance to design criteria and applicable codal provisions.
