This 2 GW hybrid renewable development combines solar photovoltaic capacity with wind generation to support large scale clean energy in the Neom region of Saudi Arabia. The project aims to build a significant hybrid power source designed to meet the long term energy needs of one of the largest planned sustainable cities in the world.

TCE's Scope

TCE delivered the complete pre bid engineering services for the 2 GW development. This included preparation of the general layout, the Direct Current Single Line Diagram, the Alternating Current Single Line Diagram and the substation Single Line Diagram.

The scope also included detailed Bill of Quantities preparation, technical documentation with associated calculations and a block level control room layout based on standard control room practices.

Impact

TCE’s work strengthened the project’s readiness for competitive bidding by providing complete engineering documentation, clear layouts and detailed quantities. The technical planning helped establish a strong foundation for developing a large hybrid renewable system that supports Neom’s long term clean energy objectives.
