This project combines a 132 MW solar plant with a 325 MWh battery system designed for renewable integration on the island of Guam. The plant evacuates power into the Apra grid at 115 kV and supports the island’s effort to strengthen supply reliability and reduce dependence on imported fuels.

TCE's Scope

TCE provided basic and detailed engineering for the complete solar and battery installation. The scope included system design, plant level studies, equipment sizing and preparation of construction-oriented engineering documents. The team reviewed vendor submissions, supported grid related studies and contributed technical inputs for commissioning activities.

Impact

TCE’s engineering input helped refine the plant configuration, improve grid readiness and support stable integration of solar and storage assets into Guam’s network. The work strengthened the operational performance and reliability of an island grid with evolving energy needs.
